Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has been kicked out of Time magazine’s “People’s Choice for 2012 Person of the Year” list.

Istanbul / NationalTurk – In 2011, Tayyip Erdoğan was the most voted person in the “people’s poll” with more than 122,000 votes, while “The Protester” was named “Person of the Year” in 2011 by Time editors.

This year’s list includes Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity, and the Higgs boson particle in Cern, but Tayyip Erdoğan is not one of the 40 individuals available to vote for.
