Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has harshly slammed independent deputy Leyla Zana, who earlier stated weapons were Kurds’ ‘insurance policies,’ by mentioning her to join the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist in the mountains of south eastern Turkey.

Ankara / NationalTurk – Leyla Zana should leave the “democratic” Parliament and “go to the mountain” – a metaphor for joining the PKK terrorists – if she was not in favor of laying down arms, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated during a speech, where he adressed his party AKP (Justice and Development Party) members at a group meeting. Earlier this week Leyla Zana said ‘ Weapons are the insurance policy of Kurds.’

The Turkish prime minister also criticized Kurdish rooted Peace and Democracy Party (BDP), co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş for his remarks that the chief of General Staff Gen. Necdet Özel did not even have the importance of a corporal in the eyes of the BDP.

“The terrorist organization that you serve would not let you herd 10 sheep in the mountains, let alone be a corporal in the Turkish Armed Forces,” PM Erdoğan slammed unconvincing Demirtaş to the ground.

Tayyip Erdoğan also added the BDP attempts taking advantage of last month’s “painful” incident in the southeastern province of Şırnak’s Uludere district, in which 35 civilians, allegedly cross-border smugglers were killed in a botched air raid after being mistaken for terrorists of the PKK Terror Organization.

Kurdish BDP Party placed PKK banners on coffins of Turkey Kurds

Turkish PM Erdoğan stressed BDP members had placed PKK banners on the coffins of those who were killed in the raid and accused the party of trying to incite Kurdish people in the wake of the tragic event.

The prime minister said the BDP should “know its place” and added that the BDP saw imprisoned PKK head Abdullah Öcalan as their alleged leader.

“Let me remind you of the names that Apo [Öcalan] calls [the BDP members],” Erdoğan said. “Charlatans, showmen, traitors, gullible, crazy, idiots, morons, imbeciles, parasites.. These are words that that Apo refers them to.”

The PKK is as a terrorist organization recognized and listed as one by Turkey, the United States and the European Union.
