Manchester City’s Wayne Bridge will decide if shamed John Terry will carry on as England skipper after the news reports of John Terry having an affair with Vanessa Perroncel, Bridge’s girlfriend.

The England manager,  Fabio Capello has asked Franco Baldini to have a face to face interview with both players. Bridge confirms he wishes to continue playing for England but not under Terry’s captaincy, the Chelsea defender will be sacked as skipper.

Football fans and forums all over the globe has condemned Terry’s actions who has a £170,000-a-week salary and lucrative sponsorship deals worth £7 million a year.

The England squad have been very surprised by Terry’s affair with  Vanessa Perroncel, girlfriend of fellow defender and friend Bridge.

There have been new allegations that John Terry secretly arranged for Vanessa to have an abortion after getting her pregnant.

England team-mates Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard, who plays alongside Terry at Chelsea, are said to have contacted Bridge with messages of support.

Bridge is said to have told one England player he felt Terry had “shot him in the back”.

A Chelsea fan who spoke to NationalTurk said “I just don’t understand Terry, I mean forget the fact that he (Terry) is constantly in front of the nation, how on earth did he think he can get away with such a high profile affair,

Also how can you do that to your own team mate. They both used to be very close from what I hear, Terry’s wife and Bridge’s girl friend were friends too. This is disgusting totally disgusting”

The future of Terry’s England captaincy is not going to be determined until the face-to-face meeting with Franco Baldini but not many people want Terry to continue, especially with the FIFA World Cup 2010 coming up.
