At least they don’t do it secretly anymore ! AKP, the ruling Justice and Development Party has removed Atatürk and secularism from the wording of the parliamentary oath deputies take when their term of service starts.
Ankara / NationalTurk – AKP has removed phrases such as ‘Atatürk’s reforms and principles ‘ and ‘secularism’ from the wording of the Turkish parliamentary oath in its submission to the Constitutional Conciliation Commission.
Turkish Deputies currently swear in to ‘ remain true to the secular and democratic republic and to Atatürk’s reforms and principles ‘ however the AKP’s submission excludes those lines.
Turkish Parliament shows the dangerous mentality differences of Turkish society
Meanwhile, the pro-Kurdish terrorists Peace and Democracy Party’s (BDP) submission suggests that deputies do not recite the oaths all together, while the meek opposition party -the Republican People’s Party’s (CHP)- proposal included ‘! ‘ loyalty to the constitution,’ as well as human rights.
