“Now comes a unique man for me.” With these words, Beatrice Egli brought folk rock’n’roller Andreas Gabalier onto the stage. And then she gave him a kiss.
Premiere of the “Beatrice Egli Show” on Saturday evening on MDR. The concept: hits, fun and chatter. Although she welcomed illustrious guests like Ross Anthony, Stefan Mross, Anna-Carina Woitschack or Kerstin Ott on her couch and stage, Beatrice was particularly happy about one: Andreas Gabalier.
Egli on Gabalier: “I’m very, very happy”
Already in the first half of the show he was allowed to perform his song “A New Beginning”. During this moderation, the “INSTA.” interpreter beamed, saying: “I’m very, very happy. When I called him and asked, ‘Andreas, are you coming to my show?’ he said, ‘Yes, I’m coming,'” the singer reported in her introduction.
And then, for a moment, it became unusually rampant. Beatrice ran to Gabalier during the first notes to thank him with a kiss on the cheek. After the performance she said that she expected an encore from Andreas and declared: “I won’t let him go!”
You had to wait a good 50 minutes before the hit star in lederhosen entered the stage again. The hostess was overcome with her emotions. “Now a unique man is coming for me. I have to see if you’re still really there!” He was. And then he sang his hit “Hulapalu” for the grand finale.
