Now his wife Kelsey Parker had to announce the death of her partner. The pop star was only 33 years old and leaves behind two small children.

For a black and white photo of Parker, she writes: “It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce that Tom passed away peacefully today. His whole family was with him. Our hearts are broken,” says the message to her almost 150,000 followers.

Her partner was the center of her world. Kelsey continued, “We can’t imagine life without him and his infectious smile and energetic presence.” She also thanks for the many messages she has received. She wants people to continue to remember her late husband so that “his light will continue to shine on his beautiful children.”

“I will forever be proud of you”

Tom Parker underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy and even announced that the tumors had shrunk. Back in November, Parker posted this hopeful message on Instagram: “I’m going to kick this tumor’s ass!” He tried until the end. Kelsey ends her message by saying, “He fought to the end. I will forever be proud of you!”

Parker and Kelsey tied the knot in 2018. They had their first child, a daughter, in 2019. A year later, a son was born.

The other band members of The Wanted (“Glad You Came”) were devastated by the “tragic and premature loss”. Parker died “peacefully surrounded by his family and bandmates” around noon on Wednesday, the statement said. Parker is survived by his wife Kelsey and two children.

Kelsey wrote on Instagram that her heart was broken. “Tom was the center of our world and we cannot imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence.” Numerous celebrities offered their condolences on Wednesday, including pop star Ed Sheeran and Take That’s Howard Donald.
