In Rue Neuve in Brussels, a four-year-old boy fell more than six meters into a building of the H&M store on Monday. The child is in mortal danger.

This is reported by the local authorities. According to an H&M spokesperson, the child fell one floor. The boy was rushed to hospital and remains in life-threatening condition. He would have a French nationality. The child’s mother was in shock after the fall.

“The store was temporarily closed off,” said a police spokesman. Police are currently investigating how the accident could have happened.

The 4-year-old child was then rushed to the nearest hospital. The boy is in mortal danger,” said Ilse Van dekeere, spokesman for the Brussels-Capital Ixelles police zone. The boy was accompanied by his mother, who went into shock and also had to be cared for.

“The circumstances of the unfortunate accident are not yet clear,” said Van dekeere. A perimeter was established to make initial observations at the incident site. The public prosecutor’s office will provide more information later.
