Chilean tennis player Guarachi wins doubles tournament in Australia

Chilean tennis player Alexa Guarachi, along with American Desire Krawczyk, won the doubles title at the Australian tournament in Adelaide.

Chilean tennis player Alexa Guarachi, along with American Desire Krawczyk, won the doubles title at the Australian tournament in Adelaide.

The Chilean-American duo needed an hour and 48 minutes to beat their rivals: the American Hayley Carter and the Brazilian Luisa Stefani.

Guarachi, 26th place in the world ranking in the specialty and Krawczyk (25th), added their third title of the modality in the women’s division, after Gstaad 2018 and Istanbul 2020.

Particularly, this is Guarachi’s 20th victory.

In the individual tournament, the Polish Iga Swiatek, 18th in the world ranking, beat the Swiss Belinda Bencic by 6-2.
