Dead Sea Fethiye Turkey the pearl of the crown

Dead Sea natural beauty of the Southwest Turkey also promises entertainment.

Is a small village and beach resort in the Fethiye district of Muğla Province, on the Turquoise Coast of southwestern Turkey, at the conjunction point of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. It is located 14 km (9 mi) to the south of Fethiye, near Mount Babadağ.

Ölüdeniz remains one of the most photographed beaches on the Mediterranean. It has a secluded sandy bay at the mouth of Ölüdeniz, on a blue lagoon. The beach itself is a pebble beach.

The lagoon is a national nature reserve and construction is strictly prohibited.The seawater of Ölüdeniz is famous for its shades of turquoise and aquamarine, while its beach is an official Blue Flag beach, frequently rated among the top 5 beaches in the world by travelers and tourism journals alike.

Fethiye is one of the popular resorts in Turkey. It is located in the southwest of Turkey and is about an hour drive from Dalaman
International Airport. It is surrounded by high mountains and pine forests.

Fethiye, once known as Telmessos dates back to the 6th C BC. It was one of the major cities of the Lycian region in ancient times. Today there is a very well preserved theater with 10,000 seating capacity. The other main attraction is the tomb of Amyntas, a Lycian noble.

Oludeniz is probably the most famous beach in Turkey. The blue lagoon sweeps around on its seaward side into a vast crescent shaped sand
and pebble beach, all framed by a spectacular backdrop of pine forests and mountains.Fethiye and Oludeniz together offer their visitors wonderful scenery and holiday atmosphere.

The so-called Dead Sea has become one of Turkey’s best-known touristic images. It can be reached by boat from Fethiye. Alternatively, a rough 14-km road through the forest suddenly opens out on Belcekiz Bay, and the Sea comes into sight as you walk towards the beach. The Sea appears to be under a spell, for there is no movement whatsoever. There is not the slightest trace of seaweed, and the seabed is covered with white sand. The light under the water is turquoise, enriched by the shadows of the pines.
