Del Bosque: Best coach of the 2010

Spanish Vicente del Bosque was named 2010 National Team Coach of the Year by the International Federation of Football Statistics. It is the second consecutive year Del Bosque has won that distinction.

Del Bosque, who helped Spain win the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, obtained 298 points in the organization’s scoring system, 113 more than in 2009, and he received the top vote of 71 countries.

The list of the top 17 coaches of the year includes 15 countries, and only Argentina and Germany are represented twice. Of that total, 11 coached their country’s teams, and six coached foreign teams.

The second place went to German Joachim Lö w, who jumped from the 14th place in 2009, mainly thanks to the new offensive and technical system in the game during the World Cup.
