Obama continued “Even though we’ve made significant progress, there is much more to do and it’s going to be up to you to make an even bigger difference over the next 40 years, so let’s get to work. Together, we can continue to make progress towards a cleaner environment and a healthier planet.”

As NationalTurk we are urging people to help the environment on a day subject which small dchanges can make a huge difference to our ever sensitive planet.

Things such as, leaving the lights on, leaving electrical units on standby, switching to compact fluorescent lamps, catching the bus to work or using a bike, recycle, using less plastic bags and many more.

Example of one of these changes, in 2006 a investigating the British climate found that if everyone in England turns their televisions off, from the plug rather then putting it on standby, seven power stations would be shut down in the country.

These small changes if done by many can make a huge difference.
