Icy roads in Istanbul cause problems, accidents

Heavy snowfall started late night in Istanbul’s Anatolian side has increased the problems of commuter’s causing accident due to icy roads.

Daily life of residents in Istanbul has completely got paralyzed. Hundreds of travelers and vehicles have been stuck in traffic due to heavy snowfall.

Especially in the high hill areas like Pendik, Kartal, Maltepe of Umraniye district, the citizens have been facing trouble on commuting from their homes to offices due to the disruption in transport.

Hospitals and the fire service have put emergency teams on standby in preparation for snow-related accidents.
