Israel dropped bombs on Gaza: Hundreds of dead

The Israeli army announced that they hit 50 "military compounds" and 4 "operations centers" belonging to Hamas in the blockaded Gaza Strip.

Palestinian health officials announced that at least 232 people died in Israeli attacks.

The Israeli Army Spokesperson published images of the air strikes they carried out on the Gaza Strip via the X social media account. The Army Spokesperson stated that they targeted 50 military compounds and 4 operation centers belonging to Hamas in Gaza.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza provided information about the casualties on the Palestinian side after the “Aqsa Flood” attack.

In the statement made on the Ministry’s X social media account, it was stated that 232 people lost their lives and 1697 people were injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

While no information was given regarding the areas where there were casualties, it was stated that the data would be updated hourly.

Palestinian Health Minister Al-Kaila stated that all hospitals in the West Bank are ready to accept the injured from the occupied Gaza Strip.

On the other hand, according to the written statement made by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, incidents broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians in the West Bank cities of Hebron, Ramallah and Kalkilyye.

BUILDINGS WERE BOMBED

According to information received from local sources, Israeli army warplanes attacked the 14-storey ‘Palestine’ apartment building, which includes some press offices and companies’ offices, on Es-Shuheda Street of Er-Rimal District in the center of Gaza. It was reported that the incident also caused damage to surrounding buildings and a power outage occurred in the region.

On the other hand, in the written statement made by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Gaza, it was stated that a building of 15 flats in Gaza was also targeted by Israeli warplanes. While no information was given about how many floors the building had, it was noted that the occupants were evacuated before the attack.

No information has yet been shared regarding casualties and injuries in the attacks. Abu Ubeyde, spokesman for Hamas’s armed wing, Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, stated that they would give a “shattering response” to the attacks.

HAMAS: WE TAKED COMMANDERS POWER

Hamas Political Bureau Deputy Chairman Salih al-Aruri said in a statement to Al Jazeera television, “We have prisoners who will ensure the release of all our prisoners in Israel.”

Stating that many Israelis were taken prisoner and that there were senior officers among them, Aruri said that “they went to war and lost many martyrs, and they were ready to do whatever was necessary for victory.”

It was noted that dozens of captured Israeli soldiers and officers were safe in safe places and tunnels belonging to the resistance forces. No information was given regarding the exact number of soldiers in question.

Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, a far-right extremist, also announced that a “state of civil emergency” had been declared, granting additional powers to law enforcement forces.

According to the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation (KAN), Ben-Gvir ordered an increase in the number of volunteer police, as well as a “civil emergency”.

The Israeli Police Spokesperson also asked citizens in Israeli settlements around Gaza not to go out and to stay in their homes.

Police Chief Kobi Shabtai stated that where Palestinian armed groups entered, “they advanced from region to region and neutralized some of them.” The Israeli emergency service, the Red Star of David, also announced that two ambulances were seized by gunmen and an Israeli paramedic died.

On the other hand, videos were shared on social media showing multiple incidents of Israelis being taken captive and brought to Gaza.

In other images on social media, hundreds of Israelis who were organizing an entertainment event in the region were seen running away after Palestinian armed groups arrived.

A person who spoke to Israeli television said that he attended the party around the Gaza Strip, and as he was leaving the area with police escort, gunmen opened fire and his friends were shot. The eyewitness stated that a rocket launcher was fired towards their car and they escaped at the last minute.

Hamas’s military wing, the Qassam Brigades, announced that they had launched a comprehensive operation called “Aqsa Flood” against Israel in the morning. While thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards Israel, armed groups entered the settlements in the region.

Following the “Aqsa Flood” operation, the Israeli army announced that it launched an attack on the Gaza Strip with dozens of warplanes.
