The artist had been receiving treatment for kidney failure for some time.

Born in Bursa on April 1, 1955, İrem took her first step into music as the soloist of the school orchestra in 1969, when she was in her senior year of secondary school.

İrem became the winner of the Marmara Region with the orchestra they named “Meltemler” in the high school music competition organized by the Milliyet newspaper in 1970. He performed as a dance music singer in various hotels in Bursa between 1970-1973 with the same orchestra.

The artist released his first 45 album in 1973 with his own means. The successful artist, whose ten 45s were published between 1973-1981, embarked on a new path in his musical life by making an academic study with the “Sevgiliye” long player record in the symphonic structure he released in 1979.

The artist, who composed and sang “Welcome”, a poem by Nazım Hikmet, in addition to the lyrics he wrote in the album “Sevgiliye”, represented Turkey in the Golden Orfe Song Contest held in Bulgaria in 1984 and won the Journalists’ Special Award.

Continuing to sing only her own works and forming a unique school, İrem turned to symphonic rock-style works with long-term musical works she composed by composing her stories in the 1980s.

Five books of the artist, including his stories, essays and poems, were published.

The artist, who also works on abstract painting, opened personal painting exhibitions in Bursa, Ankara, Antalya, Kuşadası, Dikili, İstanbul, Gölcük and İzmir. The artist, who received many awards and won 7 gold records, was seen as a “contemporary poet” by his fans.
