Jamaica’s Usain Bolt wins gold in the men’s 200m to become the first man to complete the sprint double at back-to-back Olympics.
Bolt wins in a season’s best time of 19.32 seconds, with compatriot Yohan Blake taking silver – as he did in the 100m – in 19.44. Warren Weir completes the all-Jamaican podium with a 19.84.

Usain Bolt beat his Jamaican training partner Yohan Blake once again to add the 200metres gold medal to his 100m title in London.

Bolt became the only man to have ever defended the Olympic 200m title by winning in 19.32 secs.

Blake took the silver medal while Warren Weir won bronze to complete a Jamaican clean sweep. Usain Bolt fulfilled his dream of becoming a “legend” of the sport after defending his title.
