Maldives proudly welcomed the one millionth visitor of 2016 at Ibrahim Nasir International Airport.
Alefiya Merchant from India who arrived on Air India flight this afternoon with her husband Ali Asgar Godhrawala for their honeymoon in Maldives. Honeymoon couple was awarded with a commemorative plaque. The Lucky honeymoon couple also received a special gift, complimentary holiday package.

Maldives first broke the one million tourist arrival milestone back in 2014, and has been receiving more than one million tourists per year ever since. The tourism industry of the Maldives hopes to go further this year and reach 1.5 million tourist arrivals.
