Meghan and Harry’s fear of thieves

Meghan and Harry in fear / Burglar alarms in their million-dollar villa six times

Harry and Meghan are based in Montecito, California after stepping down from royal duties in 2020

Prince Harry (37) and Duchess Meghan (40) live in a beautiful property in Montecito, California. But that’s exactly where there is trouble: the royals’ 13 million villa is broken into again and again. In the last 14 months, the police have had to come in SIX times.

Recently, the burglary alarm was triggered twice within just twelve days, writes the “Sun”.

The first incident happened on the couple’s wedding anniversary, May 19. An intruder has been reported. The police arrived. Nothing new for the California cops!

The next alarm came on May 31 – just hours before Harry and Meghan flew to the UK on a private jet to attend the Queen’s platinum jubilee (96).

So Harry, Meghan and their two children Archie (3) and Lilibet (1) were most likely still at home when the burglar alarms went off.

Both incidents were listed as “trespassers,” “property crimes,” and “suspicious circumstances” in police records.

Harry and Meghan have already engaged ex-President Barack Obama’s (60) former bodyguard, Christopher Sanchez, and pop legend Michael Jackson’s former security chief († 50), Alberto Alvarez.

What the alleged burglars wanted from Harry and Meghan? Not clear. There are no reports of theft, stalkers or the like.

Harry sues security in Britain

Is that why Harry is so obsessed with his safety? In Britain he has just been allowed to sue the Home Office.

After the couple stepped down from royal duties and moved to the US in 2020, the two also lost a great privilege: their security team in the UK, paid for by the UK taxpayer.

Harry is now suing. The family would only receive protection when visiting British soil – should Harry win in court. But not in the new home USA, where the additional security would be needed much sooner due to the series of break-ins.

Royal expert Angela Levin, Harry’s biographer, told The Sun: “Maybe Harry should focus more on safety in California instead of complaining about his safety in the UK.”
