President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia has developed the first vaccine offering “sustainable immunity” against the coronavirus.
Putin added that one of his two daughters has received a shot of the vaccine and is feeling well.
Russia on Tuesday became the first country to officially register a coronavirus vaccine and declare it ready for use.
The vaccine, developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center, has an official registration with the Russian Health Ministry, Putin told a meeting with members of the government in Moscow.
