The BIST 100 was 161.45 points up on Friday, opening at 107,315.23 points.
The 0.15 percent increase was led by the mining sector, which rose 1.68 percent. Sports companies’ stocks showed the greatest decline, falling 0.07 percent.
The banking and holding sector indexes rose by 0.11 and 0.22 percent respectively.
The market closed at 107,153.78 points on Thursday after rising 0.59 percent during the day.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 3.5380 at 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT) Friday, compared to 3.5390 at Thursday’s close.
