Scandal ! Union of Turkish Clubs work toward legalization of incentive pay

Turkish Clubs Union urges the managers and clubs to be differentiated in the ongoing Turkish soccer match fixing scandal.

All chairmen of 18 clubs signed the newest draft which will pave the way for the clubs not to be punished due to their managers who are involved in match rigging and legalize incentive pay.

Turkish Clubs Union urges the managers and clubs to be differentiated in the ongoing Turkish soccer match fixing scandal. All chairmen of 18 clubs signed the newest draft which will pave the way for the clubs not to be punished due to their managers who are involved in match rigging and legalize incentive pay. The newest law draft is approved and signed by all 18 club chairmen.

It is regarded highly contradictious in the Turkish soccer community, as clauses from the draft mean the legalization of incentive pays, what was a serious crime in the ongoing match fixing scandal.

Dozens have been detained and arrested since the probe was initiated on July 3. Fenerbahçe Chairman Aziz Yıldırım and the club’s senior managers İlhan Ekşioğlu and Şekip Mosturoğlu as well as Beşiktaş coach Tayfur Havutçuoğlu are among the prominent figures held in prison as part of the investigation.
