Vettel’s successor is certain: Aston Martin gets Alonso

Sebastian Vettel has announced the end of his career after this season.

So Aston Martin needs a replacement – and has found this in the competition.

Fernando Alonso is moving from the Alpine F1 Team to Aston Martin next season. The 41-year-old will succeed Sebastian Vettel there, who is ending his career. The double world champion (2005, 2006) receives a contract for several years. This was announced by the racing team. Aston Martin did not provide any information about the exact duration.

“I still have the hunger and ambition to fight at the top,” he said. Alonso will drive alongside Lance Stroll, son of team co-owner Lawrence Stroll.
