{"id":10527,"date":"2011-01-07T10:14:09","date_gmt":"2011-01-07T08:14:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=10527"},"modified":"2011-01-07T10:14:09","modified_gmt":"2011-01-07T08:14:09","slug":"israel-no-iranian-bomb-before-2015-07012011","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/israel-no-iranian-bomb-before-2015-07012011\/","title":{"rendered":"Israel: No Iranian bomb before 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/nuclear-bomb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-10528\" title=\"nuclear-bomb\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/nuclear-bomb.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"334\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/nuclear-bomb.jpg 334w, https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/nuclear-bomb-280x209.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 334px) 100vw, 334px\" \/><\/a>Irael believes Iran would not be capable of producing a nuclear bomb before 2015 and a top Israeli official has counseled against pre-emptive military strikes, intelligence assessments published on Friday said.<br \/>\nThe briefings, given by Mossad spy service director Meir Dagan upon his retirement on Thursday, suggested new Israeli confidence in U.S.-led sanctions and covert action designed to discourage or delay Tehran&#8217;s uranium enrichment program.<br \/>\n&#8220;Iran will not achieve a nuclear bomb before 2015, if that,&#8221; Dagan said, according to a transcript obtained by Reuters.<br \/>\nIn June 2009, Dagan told an Israeli parliamentary panel that Iran could have its first nuclear warhead by 2014.<br \/>\nDagan, an ex-general whose eight-year Mossad tenure was widely seen as having escalated Israel&#8217;s shadow wars against enemies abroad, was circumspect on the prospect of using open force against Iranian nuclear sites.<br \/>\nSuch attacks could prompt Iran, which denies seeking the bomb, to quit the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and pursue its program entirely free of U.N. inspections, Dagan said.<br \/>\n&#8220;Israel should not hasten to attack Iran, doing so only when the sword is upon its neck,&#8221; Dagan said.<br \/>\nIsrael is widely assumed to have the region&#8217;s only nuclear arsenal but many analysts say its air force is too small to take on Iran&#8217;s distant, dispersed and fortified facilities alone.<br \/>\nIsrael also is mindful of the risk of retaliatory strikes from Iran. The United States has said it does not want to see a new regional war, though, like Israel, it has not ruled out force against Iran.<\/p>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #f00;\">Error, group does not exist!
