The sustainable development of Cuba tourism is an essential element in the 4.5 square miles that make up Old Havana, with a special priority on recuperating historic buildings.<\/h1>\n

During a meeting with Latin American journalists, public relations expert Saray Moreira of the Cuban tourist company Habaguanex described its work in the leisure industry.<\/p>\n

Habaguanex, which takes its name from the Taino chief who once controlled the area, was created on January 6, 1994 and is attached to the Havana City Historian’s Office, Moreira noted.<\/p>\n

In Old Havana, the company runs 57 museums, 19 hotels (another opening soon) for Cuba tours, 39 restaurants, over 80 snack bars and bars, and about 80 stores, featuring well-known brands.<\/p>\n
