Our reporter for spa centers all around the world, has been suffering from bad headaches and insomnia. Her neck is tense, and she has pain in her lower back.<\/p>\n

The prescription A three-day \u201cserenity journey\u201d, which includes daily yoga, Turkish hammam scrub-downs, Indian head massage, Thai body massage and foot reflexology, washed down with ginger tea, crystal water and cleansing juices.<\/p>\n

Spa Holiday at Kempinski Bay Hotel in beautiful Bodrum, Turkey<\/h2>\n

The procedure each day starts with an hour of yoga on the deck of the spa overlooking the Aegean sea. Treatments are followed by fresh ginger tea and detoxing juice. Then, in the beautiful marble turkish hammam, the reporter\u2019s body is rubbed down with salt and coated in olive oil. Something akin to a pillowcase is filled with soap suds and shaken over her body, covering her with foam which is washed off with warm water.<\/p>\n

The wholistic aroma massage eases tension and moisturises the body. A following reiki healing calms Spa reporter before she has a very firm Indian head massage, making her ready to sleep for seven days. On her last day, our reporter gets a Thai massage, paying particular attention to her head and shoulders, and reflexology to ease any remaining sensitive areas.<\/p>\n

Spa and Massage in Turkey : Asian Philosophy meets turkish welcome<\/h3>\n

The verdict : our reporter has never felt so indulged. Her headaches are non existent, her back feels flexible after the yoga session, and she is sleeping as happily and serene as a well-fed cat in the Turkish sunshine.<\/p>\n

The medical opinion \u201cMassage is very effective at releasing muscle spasm and stress and would be expected to help the symptoms described.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe headaches sound tension-related \u2013 the commonest type. However, persistent headaches can on occasion be a warning sign relating to other problems such as high blood pressure and should be checked by a doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n
