Ars\u00e8ne Wenger expects the future of Cesc Fabregas and his transfer to Barcelona to be decided \u201cvery quickly\u201d now.<\/h1>\n

Media reports in the past 24 hours suggested that the destination of the Arsenal captain next season would be determined by the start of the Premier League this weekend \u2013 whether it be in Emirates Stadium against Newcastle United or Barcelona. On Thursday afternoon the Barcelona product Arsenal Player got the latest from the manager.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat is completely the truth,\u201d Arsene Wegner stated. \u201cWe hope it will be sorted out very quickly one way or the other. We\u2019ll know very quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n

Samir Nasri to Manchester City, Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona<\/h2>\n

Meanwhile the future of Samir Nasri is also described as ‘unsure’ by Wenger. Once again his manager Arsene Wegner wanted a speedy resolution.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Samir Nasri situation is stable,\u201d told Wenger. \u201cAgain it is difficult to speculate about possible transfers but we are in a situation where we have to make decisions one way or the other, ideally as fast as possible. Normally you want it to be sorted out before the season begins.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the light of such information Arsene Wenger pulled the trigger and Arsenal have left Samir Nasri and team captain Cesc Fabregas out of their squad to face Newcastle United in their opening Premier League game on Saturday at Emirates Stadium.<\/p>\n

What does that mean ? Well, Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas are expected to finalise their long-talked transfers away from Arsenal in the coming days, as Nasri will move to Manchester City and Fabregas to his home-club Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Arsene Wenger Sanctioned Nasri and Fabregas Departures from Arsenal<\/h3>\n

The two star midfielders have been topping the transfer stories in Britain this transfer summer with prolonged speculations linking them away from the Gunners, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has finally given the green light for their departures, which both players clearly desire for a long time now.<\/p>\n

Arsene Wenger told reporters: “I have not been disappointed by Cesc\u2019s attitude and not by Samir Nasri\u2019s attitude. They\u2019ve been professionals.”<\/p>\n

Nasri is thought to be close to joining Manchester City, but Wenger refused to be drawn on concerns that the Frenchman might have beent tapped up about a move to the Al Etihad Stadium.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t want to comment on that because tomorrow we have a big game at Newcastle and that is more important than all that, [which] is the usual things which happen when people want to buy players,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I don\u2019t know more than you and I have no evidence on it.”<\/p>\n

Confusing comments from Arsene Wenger on Fabregas and Nasri transfers<\/h4>\n

However, despite departures for Fabregas and Nasri seemingly being imminent, Wenger said that he does not anticipate any players leaving.<\/p>\n

“I expect nobody to leave the club,” he said. “I think the best thing for us, the day before the championship starts, is not to focus on the possible transfers. I cannot say it will never happen, I will not say it will happen, but at the moment there\u2019s no news.<\/p>\n

“What we want today is to focus on the players who play tomorrow and not on the players who do not play. The players who can help the club to achieve performances are more important than the players who don\u2019t.”<\/p>\n

Wenger is expected to be handed all the proceeds of any possible sales of Fabregas and Nasri, and he added that it would be difficult to bring in more players.<\/p>\n

“We have a big squad and you do not decide exactly [how you spend]. the demand to bring in some players are very high,” he said.<\/p>\n

“I am not the only one working on that, we are a complete team, examining absolutely everything on the international transfer market and the fact that big clubs come and try to get our players is because they look as well, and cannot find, so it\u2019s not as easy as people think it is.”<\/p>\n
