Wall Street protests in the famed street and other parts of the New York financial district enters 4th day. ‘Occupy Wall Street’ move gathers protesters, even though police cordons Wall Street with a heavy presence.<\/h1>\n

The protest began Saturday when several thousand protesters, mostly young activists, gathered in front of the New York Stock Exchange on famous Wall Street shouting slogans such as “We must end corporate tyranny and corruption”, “Debt is slavery” and “Occupy Wall Street!”, what gave the protest its name. By Tuesday, the crowd had lost in numbers but not in spirit. The Wall Street Protesters agreed during a rally that they were solidly determined to stay there as long as necessary and urged more people would join them.<\/p>\n

New York police have made a handful of arrests — two on Saturday when protesters tried to enter a Bank of America office and six more on Monday. At least seven people were arrested since hundreds began demonstrating against the financial system’s “greed.” At least four on Monday were held for wearing masks, which is illegal for groups of two or more, police said<\/p>\n

The United States and the world are in deep financia crisis, caused by debts of many countries, the Wall Street protesters stated. The idea for the “Occupy Wall Street!” protest apparently comes from a Vancouver-based magazine called Adbusters, which describes itself as \u201ca not-for-profit, reader-supported, 120,000-circulation Canadian magazine concerned about the erosion and corruption of our physical and cultural environments by commercial and industrial forces.\u201d<\/p>\n

The protesters name their goal : To force the Us government and Barack Obama to make decisions that affect the one percent of the population represented by Wall Street’s corporations, responsible for the financial and economic problems of the remaining 99 percent of the U.S. population and the world.<\/p>\nError, group does not exist!
