The 14 store hotel will have 7 stores underground has already reached a height of 24 meters, what exceeds the 18 meter high northernmost building of Dolmabahce Palace and it is the underground constructions what put the Dolmabahce Palace and the Naval Museum at risk. Reports state that the walls of some parts of Dolmabahce Palace have cracked under the pressure.

The minister for culture and tourism, Ertugrul Günay stated his disapproval of the building back in 2010, but Turkey is a country, where a word from Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan can result in demolishing of statues. Earlier this year the ‘ Humanity’ statue in the eastern province Kars was razed to the ground, after Erdogan had described it as ‘monstrosity’. Right next to the hotel that stabs right through the Bosphorus silhouette lies the Istanbul work office of Prime ‘Sultan’ Tayyip Erdogan, which makes the case more ironic.

The beautiful silhouette of Istanbul was violated as ugly skyscrapers rise in the horizon seeen between the minarets, now the ancient naval museum and Dolmabahce Palace are about to fall victims to an ugly hotel construction in Besiktas district

[135,80,74,63,118,103,174,194,173,14
1700,15313,19149,19152,18736,19150,16526,17640,1003,19151,735
post-15167","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-football","category-breaking-news","category-culture","category-daily","category-hot","category-only-on-nationalturk","category-turkey-daily","category-turkey-general","category-turkey-headlines","category-world","tag-besiktas","tag-besiktas-jk","tag-bosphorus-silhouette","tag-culture-and-tourism-turkey","tag-dolmabahce-palace-istanbul","tag-hotel-construction-istanbul","tag-istanbul-bosphorus","tag-istanbul-silhouette","tag-istanbul-turkey","tag-naval-museum-istanbul","tag-turkish-prime-minister-recep-tayyip-erdogan
["GET
