AFP confirms the authenticity of images showing the brutality of an Israeli Army soldier driving a truck over the leg of an infured Palestinian construction worker, after Israel questioned the veracity of the pictures.<\/h1>\n

Paris \/ NationalTurk – AFP (Agence France-Presse) press agency responded to stark criticism from Israel media and authorities over a Jan. 25 photo featuring an Israeli Army soldier driving a truck over the upper body of an injured Palestinian construction site – worker, verifying the authenticity both the story and related photos.<\/p>\n

Israel’s attempt at hiding the truth behind Israeli soldier’s brutality failed<\/h2>\n

A recent press release from AFP stated “after several days of intense research […] AFP wishes to confirm the veracity of both the picture and the related photo caption.”\"\"<\/p>\n

AFP photojournalist Hazem Bader has taken the photos last Jan. as Israeli soldiers had attempted to stop Palestinian construction workers from building on the territory, defined as “occupied zone C”. On ‘ Occupied Zone C ‘ Israel government forbids any Palestinian construction from taking place. The disturbing images show an injured worker screaming in pain after an Israeli Army driver had intentionally driven the truck over his legs.<\/p>\n

Israel brutality on Palestinians re- confirmed<\/h3>\n

Following the surfacing of the photos, Israel’s first response came from the Israeli Embassy in Washington. The embassy had asked all American newspapers ‘ to consider ceasing to publish the photographs of Hazem Bader,” claiming both the caption and the images of the injured Palestinian worker were misleading and perhaps even staged.<\/p>\n

AFP confirmed the veracity of the story and trueness of the photos, after the Jerusalem bureau of AFP went back and consulted other press agencies that were present in the construction area at Occupied Zone C and also revisited footage filmed at the location.<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
