Liverpool’s owners will make no apology for taking time to recruit the right man and it now looks increasingly likely that will be Rodgers.

Liverpool are closing in on Swansea City manager Brendan Rodgers as they seek to finalise the appointment of Kenny Dalglish’s successor.

[80,63,1,118,14
23890,23368,23294,23888,23889,20899,23893,23891,23574,23886,14891,23573,23699,6940,23370,23700,23371,23365,23892,23887
post-18681","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-breaking-news","category-daily","category-general","category-hot","category-world","tag-anfield-boss","tag-brendan-rodgers","tag-fenway-sports-group","tag-fsg","tag-fsg-liverpool-brendan-rodgers","tag-kenny-dalglish","tag-kop-fans","tag-liverpool-rodgers","tag-liverpool-anfield","tag-liverpool-brandan-rodgers","tag-liverpool-fc","tag-liverpool-fenway-sports-group","tag-liverpool-hunt-manager","tag-liverpool-manager","tag-liverpool-managers-candidates","tag-liverpool-owner-john-w-henry","tag-manager-list-liverpool","tag-manager-wishlist-liverpool","tag-northern-irishman-brendan-rodgers","tag-swansea-city-manager-brendan-rodgers
["GET
