Russia\u00a0may miss out on in Farnborough 2012, one of the world\u2019s most prestigious international aviation exhibitions, after problems with United Kingdom visas arose.<\/h2>\n

The United Kingdom blames the Russian side for not filing the applications in time, but\u00a0the Russian delegation said that all its applications were made on time and they were not granted visas because of a disagreement over the conflict in Syria and US Magnitsky list.<\/p>\n

Since British companies rarely participate in the Moscow aerospace show (MAKS) in Zhukovsky, an adequate response cannot be given. Therefore, the threats are voiced to boycott a next air show Farnborough. At first sight the threat is ridiculous, but not everything is unequivocal.<\/p>\n

Russia complains of visa delays for British air show in\u00a0Farnborough<\/h3>\n

One of the world\u2019s best air aerobatic teams called\u00a0The Russian Knights, missed the planned deadline for their departure to the British airshow in Farnborough over the lack of Russian bureaucratic paperwork.<\/p>\n

The Russian Knights failed to obtain permission to travel to the Farnborough show, which runs July 9-15, from the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation. The official did not specify whether the Russian team still could depart for Farnborough at a later date.<\/p>\n

Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Lavrov lambasted British officials for failing to issue visas to some Russian participants of the show. ‘\u00a0Despite filing paperwork on time, a number of Russia\u2019s representatives planning to participate in the Farnborough airshow, still weren\u2019t issued British visas.\u00a0We regret to say this is not the first time that red tape endangers the participation of our representatives in international events staged by Britain. ‘ Lavrov added.<\/p>\n\n
