American cyclist Lance Armstrong’s claim against the US Anti-Doping Agency is declined.\u00a0A judge has dismissed Armstrong’s lawsuit against USADA following accusations he used drugs.<\/h1>\n

The 7 time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong has to challenge USADA’s charges through a hearing with a 3 member arbitration panel, or accept sanctions that could strip Armstrong of his titles and ban him from the sport for life if found guilty.<\/p>\n

The USADA countered in a statement which said Lance Armstrong’s suit was launched without merit and that US Anti-Doping Agency rules provide full constitutional due process ‘ designed to protect the rights of clean athletes and the integrity of the sport. ‘<\/p>\n

Lance Armstrong won the Tour de France every year from 1999 to 2005 before retiring in 2011 and said he passed more than 5 hundred drug tests throughout his career and\u00a0was never flagged for a positive test.\u00a0Last month, the\u00a0US Anti-Doping Agency\u00a0formally charged Lance Armstrong with doping and taking part in a conspiracy with members of his championship teams. Five\u00a0another cyclists have been accused of conspiring with seven\u00a0time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong over the course of 14 years to hide doping activity.<\/p>\n

US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) was created 12 years ago and recognized by Congress as the official anti-doping agency for Olympic sports in the US, officially charged Lance Armstrong in June with taking performance-enhancing drugs and participating in a vast doping conspiracy on his Tour de France winning teams.<\/p>\n

Lance Armstrong’s lawsuit said that the Anti-Doping Agency’s arbitration hearing was set up to handle the case of an athlete who failed a drug test, not one of an athlete like him who has been charged with doping in the absence of a positive test.<\/p>\n

American cyclist Lance Armstrong, who lives in Austin and retired from cycling last year, was charged last month with violations for doping and for his key role in a doping conspiracy while on the United States Postal Service and Discovery Channel teams. He faces a lifetime ban from Olympic sports, the loss of his Tour titles and the forfeiture of the money and awards he won during that time.<\/p>\n

Lance Armstrong has always flatly denied doping and although a 2-year federal investigation was dropped five months ago, charges have now been filed by USADA, accusing him of systematic drug use during his strongest years.<\/p>\n

Not only Lance Armstrong has achieved remarkable feats in the cycling world, but after surviving testicular cancer, he founded the\u00a0Livestrong Foundation, which aims to help other cancer victims. The initiative raised his esteem still higher, adding philanthropy to his outstanding reputation as a sportsman.<\/p>\n\n
