Local media sources in Colorado are reporting that at least 10 people have been shot dead\u00a0and wounded up to 40 others at the premiere of Batman movie ‘ The Dark Knight Rises ‘ in the suburbs of Denver, Colorado \/ Video<\/h1>\n

According to media report in United States, a masked gunman has killed 10 people\u00a0at a premiere showing of the new Batman movie in Colorado, up to 40 others were injured and hospitalized.<\/p>\n

The unknown killer in a gas mask had opened fire at the showing in a mall in the Denver suburb of Aurora and set off a smoke or tear gas bomb.\u00a0Local radio has reported that people were running and screaming from the Century Aurora 16 Movie Theater in a mall in the suburb of Denver in Colorado.<\/p>\n

As many as 40 people are believed to have been injured in the attack.\u00a0The gunman reportedly opened fire after 30 minutes of the showing of ‘ The Dark Knight Rises ‘ and also set off a smoke or tear gas bomb.<\/p>\n

The doctors said they had been receiving patients with gunshot wounds\u00a0from the early hours of the morning and are expecting to receive more. But they said they could not confirm any fatalities.<\/p>\n

The radio-reporter in Colorado has told the attack has\u00a0started with a midnight showing of the new Batman ‘ The Dark Knight Rises ‘ movie and the theatres were packed that were showing this movie.\u00a0People inside thought it was part of the Batman movie.\u00a0They heard what they thought were firecrackers, loud bangs and all of a sudden they saw the bullets flying.<\/p>\n

Police officers were carting the injured to the hospital in their own cars, not even waiting for the ambulances. Colorado local media have reported\u00a0there were 2 gunmen involved and one of them has already been arrested. The officers\u00a0are searching for another.\u00a0Police closed off surrounding parking lots as sniffer dogs were brought in to search for a suspected explosive device.<\/p>\n

Three victims which are in a critical condition had already been rushed for treatment while medical staff had been told to prepare for a mass casualty event.<\/p>\n
