With its white-sand beaches and shop-lined streets, the city of Bodrum has long been the favorite seaside retreat in Turkey. But now this ancient fishing village, set against the blue waters of the Aegean Sea, has crashed the global party circuit with a open golf tournament.<\/h2>\n

Bodrum, Turkey \/ NationalTurk –\u00a0The 2-day Bodrum Open\u00a0golf tournament 2012 is sponsored and supported by partners such as Acibadem Hospitals group Bodrum, The Marmara Hotel Bodrum, Anadolu Wines, Aynal\u0131kavak Winery<\/a> in lovely seaside village of Yal\u0131kavak, Zebrafish International and Bodrum Bulletin.<\/p>\n

The Open Golf Tournament is to be held in the beautiful Aegean location of Bodrum in south-western Turkey.<\/p>\n

A mixed group of participants limited to the first 120 coming from around the globe with many from the following countries: England, Scotland, Spain, Portgual, France, Belgium and Norway are expected.<\/p>\n

The 2-day golf tournament is to be held in the beautiful Aegean location of Bodrum in south-western Turkey at Vita Park Golf Resort, located close to Tuzla Bay, a unique wetland habitat for a number of rare bird species and flamingoes. The resort encompasses a total area of one and a half million square meters, including the 5795-metre course, clubhouse and the Mike Adams Golf Academy.<\/p>\n

21st September : Events start on the Friday with a welcoming cocktail reception where one can get to know your competitors!<\/p>\n

22nd September:\u00a0After registration and an opportunity for a warm-up, the first day of the event will start with a shotgun start; groups will be allocated a start hole for the 10.00 start<\/p>\n

23rd September:\u00a0The second day will folllow the format of day one with a shotgun start. At the end of the day we have a prize giving ceremony. For GOLD participants this will be followed by an more than pleasant evening meal at Aynal\u0131kavak Winery and a trip to the exclusive Billionaires Club in Yalikavak.<\/p>\n

After a relaxing start, our tour takes you into Bodrum to discover the ancient city of Halikarnassus. Here you\u2019ll get the chance to visit Bodrum\u2019s most famous landmark; the Castle of St. Peter, where you can also take in the world famous Museum of Underwater Archaeology. From there we\u2019ll also visit the famous Mausoleum of Halikarnassus \u2013 another of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the Bodrum Amphitheatre one of the best preserved structures of ancient Halikarnassus.<\/p>\n
