The declaration came after 3 months as the jet was downed on June 22.<\/h2>\n<p>Ankara \/ NationalTurk &#8211; Turkey&#8217;s deputy prime minister Be\u015fir Atalay stated the cause had not yet been confirmed by Turkish Air Force units, but the object that most probably brought down the Turkish fighter jet was a Russian-made missile launched by Syrian air defense system.<\/p>\n<p>The Russian -made missiles, of which Syria is a known owner, are heat-sensitive and require no radar system to locate air units.<\/p>\n<h3>Turkish jet downed by Syrian missile manifactured in Russia<\/h3>\n<p>Confirmation will only come after further investigation by Turkish Air Force units, Atalay added.<\/p>\n<p>There has been much speculation in Turkey surrounding the downing of the Turkish jet since it was struck on June 22.
