Ajmal Kasab's native village in Pakistan disowns him<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The native Pakistani village of the Ajmal Kasab, the gunman captured alive during 26\/11 attacks in Indian business hub Mumbai and who was hanged by Indian authorities yesterday, have disowned him.<\/h1>\n

Lahore, Nov 22\/National Turk – According to Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, residents of Faridkot village, 3 kilometers from Deepalpur Tehsil in Okara District of Pakistan\u2019s Punjab province were infuriated when media persons visited the hamlet yesterday and tried to shoot footage and take pictures of the locality.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe village have no links with Kasab. He was in fact not a resident of Faridkot,\u201d Ghulam Mustafa Wattoo, former Nazim of the local Union Council told media persons.<\/p>\n

Another resident of the village Rai Bashir Ahmed said Kasab was never a resident of the village and they do not know him. \u201cSome elements tried to defame the village\u2019s reputation by spreading false stories when Kasab was arrested\u201d.<\/p>\n

The locals established barriers and pickets on the road leading to the village from the main Deepalpur-Hujra Shah Muqeem Road to prevent media men from visit the village and capturing images.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe media is trying to defame this village,\u201d Wattoo added.<\/p>\n

Later, the media persons returned to their respective offices and resumed work.<\/p>\n

Pak Taliban vow to attack Indian targets over Ajmal Hasab’s execution<\/h2>\n

According to media reports Pakistan’s Taliban militants have threatened to attack Indian targets to avenge the execution of Ajmal Kasab, who was the lone survivor of the militant group responsible for Mumbai attacks in 2008 that killed 166 people including some foreigners.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have decided to target Indians to avenge the killing of Ajmal Kasab,\u201d Pakistan Taliban spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told international wire agency on telephone from an undisclosed location.<\/p>\n

Kasab was executed and buried in Pune\u2019s Yerawada Central Prison on Wednesday, five days before the fourth anniversary of the Mumbai attacks. He was buried in the same prison.<\/p>\n
