Samuel Eto\u2019o and Didier Drogba have made the list of candidates for selection as forward in the famous FIFPro World XI which will be staged in Zurich next year in January. Africa Sports News<\/strong><\/h2>\n

<\/strong>\u00a0African Sports \/NationalTurk – The FIFPro World XI is chosen by 50 000 members of the global players\u2019 union and will be announced on January 7 2013 at the Fifa Ballon D\u2019Or gala in Zurich.<\/p>\n

The two strikers who have dominated African football for almost a decade now are among 15 nominees for three places in the world line-up.<\/p>\n

They will come up against heavyweights of World football like Barcelona\u2019s Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid, Athletico Madrid\u2019s Radamel Falcao and Zlatan Ibrahimovic of Paris Saint Germain PSG.<\/p>\n

Didier Drogba has been credited for a fine season with Chelsea, leading the Blues to FA Cup and Champions League glory before departing for Shanghai Shenhua this year.<\/p>\n

Despite failing to steer Cameroon to a second consecutive Africa Cup of Nations, Samuel Eto\u2019o has been the backbone of Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala as he guided them last term to their first ever UEFA Europa League qualification since joining them last year.<\/p>\n

Many football fans on the continent will hoping that their nomination will be significant to African football pundits believe that their chances of making any significant impact taken into consideration the other nominated<\/p>\n
