Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari is likely to visit on Saturday Birmangam hospital in UK, where Malala Yousufzai is undergoing treatment.<\/h1>\n

Islamabad, Dec 7\/Nationalturk – Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari is likely to visit hospital in United Kingdom, where 14-year-old peace activist Malala Yousafzai, who was critically injured in Taliban militants attack in Swat Valley of Pakistan, is undergoing treatment.<\/p>\n

Malala was shot in a school bus by Taliban militants on October 9 in Swat Valley of Pakistan. She was attacked for advocating access to education for girls in an area that has been one of the Taliban’s main strongholds in the country.<\/p>\n

She was initially provided medical treatment by army\u2019s doctors and later was flown to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, UK for specialized treatment.\u00a0 According to doctors, she is recovering and is reading books.<\/p>\n

According to media reports, Pakistan president Asif Ali Zardari is scheduled to visit UK on Saturday (December 8).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe visit is an unprecedented gesture by President Zardari because he does not have any diplomatic engagements in UK other than meeting Malala,\u201d Pakistan officials said.<\/p>\n

They said Zardari will be accompanied by Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar. \u201cZardari will meet Malala in the hospital and an official visit to Iran\u201d.<\/p>\n

Over past months, Malala has received messages of support from across the globe with some suggesting a Nobel Peace Prize for her.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Pakistan plans to open special schools in her name for poor children.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Malala Schools are planned for 16 areas around Pakistan affected by conflict or natural disasters. The aim is to give children in these areas, who often have little in the way of educational opportunities, a chance to go to school,\u201d , Nafisa Shah, chairwoman of the National Commission for Human Development, had said.<\/p>\n
