In a joint statement the Catholic, United, Baptist, Orthodox, Coptic, Lutheran, Presbyterian and Seventh-day Adventist Church have urged people to remember the story of Jesus Christ’s birth and what Christmas is really about.<\/p>\n

“Christmas is a time to rejoice and look at the world with fresh eyes,”<\/p>\n

“People everywhere need to be given an opportunity to respond to the Christian message in their own cultures.”<\/p>\n
