The British prince Harry has reportedly killed Taliban commander in Helmand Province of Afghanistan during a mission. The incident is reported to have taken place in late October this year.<\/h1>\n

Kabul, Dec 24\/Nationalturk \u2013 British Prince Harry reportedly flew a mission as part of an Apache gunship crew in Helmand Province of Afghanistan and killed a Taliban commander.<\/p>\n

Quoting unofficial reports, British newspaper, Daily Mirror reported that Prince Harry, 28 , had killed his first Taliban commander as he flew a mission as part of an Apache gunship crew.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe and his comrades are said to have unleashed a Hellfire missile to eliminate the Taliban commander after tracking him in war-torn Helmand province,\u201d the newspaper reported.<\/p>\n

The incident was reported to have taken place in late October during a patrol with Afghan troops, just a few weeks after Harry had arrived in Camp Bastion.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Taliban had launched a major attack on Camp Bastion, killing two US soldiers. The Taliban had claimed that the base was targeted because Prince Harry was there.<\/p>\n

The newspaper said there were growing fears that the story – Prince Harry having killing a Taliban commander – will only increase the danger facing the prince \u2013 and those around him.<\/p>\n

Not helpful that Prince Harry has been singled out<\/h2>\n

Daily Mirror quoted a senior insider as saying, \u201cIt is not helpful that Prince Harry has been singled out in this way. He is part of a team that is taking part in extremely hazardous operations on a daily basis and naturally anybody can come to the conclusion that he will have been engaged in operations that result in the deaths of insurgents.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo say he personally did this could jeopardise future operations for the Apache team,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry was first deployed in Afghanistan in 2008, when he worked as a ground-based air controller.<\/p>\n

He is expected to return home next month.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Mirror reported that warlords in Afghanistan have already put a \u00a325,000 price on Prince Harry\u2019s head. \u201cThe bounty for assassinating him may have been increased dramatically,\u201d the newspaper quoted military officers as saying.<\/p>\n
