Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has expressed willingness for \u2018meaningful dialogue\u2019 with Pakistan government and set conditions for ceasefire.<\/h1>\n

Islamabad, Dec 27\/Nationalturk \u2013 The feared militant group Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has expressed willingness for \u2018meaningful dialogue\u2019 with Pakistan government and set conditions for ceasefire.<\/p>\n

According to Pakistan newspaper, the News, TTP made the offer about conditional ceasefire and meaningful talks with Pakistan government in a letter.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe offer was made in a letter sent by Punjab TTP Amir Asmatullah Muawiya and endorsed by TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan,\u201d the newspaper reported.<\/p>\n

It said the letter calls for repeal of all laws in Pakistan, which are repugnant to Islam. \u201cThe constitution should be re-written in the light of the Quran and Sunnah,\u201d TTP letter wrote.<\/p>\n

It said TTP was dragged into a war with Pakistan from the Afghanistan and Kashmir fronts and the government and the army were responsible for this. \u201cThe war with the TTP was started by the army and they are only defending themselves which is their religious right\u201d.<\/p>\n

Pakistan Taliban said any religious scholar will confirm that the defence of dignity, self-respect, life, property and faith was the right of every Muslim and fighting for this right is called Jehad.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Pakistan Army should become a \u201cPure Islamic Army\u201d and not act as mercenaries for America. Instead of taking out guns against Muslims (Ahle Islam), the Pakistan Army should prepare to take revenge for the 1971 war (with India). This will also add the potential of Kashmiri mujahideen to our forces,\u201d the TTP letter reads.<\/p>\n

Pakistan Taliban letter said Pakistan was its country. \u201cWe love its streets and even plains and deserts but we cannot sacrifice our faith for this love.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fresh military operation in North Wazirstan will increase violence<\/h2>\n

It warned that any fresh military operation in North Waziristan would be a failure as America with its 42 allies has not been able to achieve any success. \u201cIf we are attacked even those who are now away from the fighting will take up arms and many more fronts will open\u201d.<\/p>\n

It said the Pakistan government should decide what it wanted to do.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, TTP spokesman spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan told Pakistan newspaper, The Dawn that Pakistan Taliban had always been ready for negotiations. \u201cThe Pakistani government was following foreign dictates and talks would only be possible if the government would have the authority to hold them freely\u201d.<\/p>\n

There has been no response from the Pakistan government so far. Pakistan government officials and ministers have been stressing that talks with TTP is possible only when the militant group eschews violence.<\/p>\n
