Roberto Mancini and the owners are desperate to win a championship and falling behind 7 points from Manchester United is cause to open the wallet.<\/p>\n<p>After spending too much money on rather mediocre players just before the end of the summer transfer window, it looks like this time, with City\u2019s sporting director Txiki Begiristain running the show, they\u2019re going for the best money can buy.<\/p>\n<p>Napoli recently claimed to have rejected a \u20ac55million bid from an unnamed club.
