We cannot afford to drop points any more if we want to be in the top four. That is a concern. This was very damaging for our league position, very difficult to swallow.”Arsenal have qualified for the Champions League every season for the past 15 years under the Frenchman, but are now facing a real battle for a top-four place.Wenger added: “It was similar to last week against Manchester City (Arsenal lost 2-0). The team has fantastic quality and spirit, but we only come into a game when we are 2-0 down. That’s worrying. In the big games, once you start like that, it’s difficult. We gave Chelsea too much room and didn’t defend tight enough.“We were unlucky because there was a free-kick before the first goal that was not given, and the second was not a penalty. He was livid on the touchline as Mata fired the home side ahead moments after Ramires appeared to foul Francis Coquelin. His mood was not improved when Gunners goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was adjudged to have brought down Ramires in the box, claiming the Brazilian should have been booked for diving.“The referee gave a lot of free-kicks today, and some much less than the Coquelin one.
