In what is likely to anger Hindu groups, Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has accused country\u2019s rightwing Hindu parties BJP and RSS of fomenting terrorism and conducting terror training’ camps in India.<\/h1>\n

New Delhi, Jan 21\/Nationalturk- Indian Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde has accused country\u2019s rightwing Hindu parties BJP and RSS of fomenting terrorism and conducting terror training’ camps in India.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring investigations, it has been revealed that rightwing groups BJP and RSS are conducting terror training camps to spread terrorism in the country,\u201d Shinde has said.<\/p>\n

He said the two groups are involved in bomb attacks in Samjhauta Express (train between India and Pakistan), Makkah Masjid (mosque in Indian state of Andhra Pradesh) and a blast in Malegaon, Mumbai (Indian\u2019s business capital).<\/p>\n

68 persons, mostly Pakistanis, were killed when a bomb ripped through the\u00a0Samjhauta Express<\/a>, a twice-weekly train service connecting\u00a0 India, and\u00a0 Pakistan\u00a0 midnight on 18 February 2007 in Indian territory near Panipat, some 80 kms north of Indian capital New Delhi.<\/p>\n

“This is saffron terrorism,\u201d Indian Home Minister said referring to India\u2019s rightwing Hindu groups.<\/p>\n

This is first time that India\u2019s Home Minister has directly named India\u2019s right wing Hindu groups of fomenting terrorism.<\/p>\n

I have been always saying this: Congress leader<\/h2>\n

Reacting to Home Minister\u2019s allegations against two right wing Hindu groups, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh said he was pleased that Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde has revealed that RSS and the BJP were promoting Hindu terror.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have been saying this for the past several years and I have been proved right after country\u2019s home minister agreed to role of the RSS in terror acts,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said he is happy. \u201cEverybody said I was mad but now I have been proved right,\u201d added Digvijay.<\/p>\n

It is highly irresponsible: RSS<\/h3>\n

RSS spokesman Ram Madhav termed Home Minister\u2019s statement as “highly irresponsible”. \u201cHe has made the remarks only to please his party bosses,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

“If a Congress leader had said something like this it wouldn’t have mattered that much, but if the Home Minister of the country is saying something like this, it is highly irresponsible. This is all about playing vote-bank politics,” he said.<\/p>\n

He said the home minister has become the darling of \u2018terrorists\u2019 with Jamat-ud-Dawah and Lashkar-e-Toiba congratulating him for his comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cToday Jamat ud Dawa etc congratulated Shinde. Now he has become darling of real terrorists. It is Shinde who is helping our enemies by such statements. Now even LeT welcomed his statement I am told,\u201d Madhav added.<\/p>\n
