They replaced it with another sign: \u201cHrant Dink Street.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was just after a couple thousand people gathered in \u015ei\u015fli to commemorate Turkish-Armenian journalist Hrant Dink, who was shot to death in front of his newspaper Agos\u2019 building in \u015ei\u015fli three years ago.<\/p>\n<p>Ergenekon is also the name of an alleged gang that is accused of aiming to topple the government by creating turmoil in society and that is alleged to be connected to the \u201cdeep state.\u201d Dink\u2019s assassination is also linked to the \u201cdeep state,\u201d according to allegations.<\/p>\n<p>A group called Art for Peace organized changing the street signs. The group requested a meeting with \u015ei\u015fli Mayor Mustafa Sar\u0131g\u00fcl to officially change the name of the street, but the meeting will be possible only after Jan. 19, the group said in a leaflet it distributed to the crowd in \u015ei\u015fli.<\/p>\n<p>Without waiting for the appointment, the group members changed the name of the street themselves.<\/p>\n<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #f00;\">Error, group does not exist!
