\"Beyonce<\/a>Pop star Beyonce Knowles struck gold in the Grammy Awards 2010, winning six of her ten nominations.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Her awards included the prestigious ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Best R&B song’ for the lyrics of ‘Put a Ring on it’ and ‘Best female pop vocal performance’ for her pop number ‘Halo’.<\/p>\n

While accepting one of the trophies, Beyonce\u00a0 said: “This has been such an amazing night for me and I’d like to thank the Grammys. I’d like to thank my family including my husband, I love you,” Beyonce added, while referring to rapper Jay-Z.<\/p>\n

Beyonce has now bagged a tally of 16 music awards in a single year, a record by a solo female.<\/p>\n

This was the first Grammy awards since the tragic demise of pop legend Micheal Jackson who had stated his plan to perform in the event after he’d to miss it last year.<\/p>\n

Paris and Prince Michael, kids of Micheal Jackson, accepted a lifetime achievement award conferred on to the King of Pop.<\/p>\n

Their appearance was preceded by a 3D tribute to MJ which featured Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson and Usher with a background score of Jackson’s Earth Song. “Daddy was going to perform this year,” said 11-year-old Paris while accepting the award on MJ’s behalf. “He couldn’t perform last year.
