{"id":36685,"date":"2013-04-17T11:47:58","date_gmt":"2013-04-17T08:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/?p=36685"},"modified":"2013-04-17T11:47:58","modified_gmt":"2013-04-17T08:47:58","slug":"boston-bomb-attackpublished-evidence-of-the-crime-scene-photos-were-distributed-us-news-36685","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/boston-bomb-attackpublished-evidence-of-the-crime-scene-photos-were-distributed-us-news-36685\/","title":{"rendered":"Boston Bomb Attack:Published evidence of the crime scene photos were distributed \/ US News"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-36691\" title=\"Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released\" alt=\"Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released.jpg\" width=\"610\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released.jpg 610w, https:\/\/www.nationalturk.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Boston-Marathon-Bomb-Attack-Devices-Released-280x156.jpg 280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 610px) 100vw, 610px\" \/><\/a><\/h1>\n<h1>US authorities have released the first pictures of the explosive devices used in the twin blasts which hit the Boston Marathon on Monday.<\/h1>\n<p>The pictures show twisted pieces of a metal container, wires, a battery and a small circuit board which exploded close to the finish line at the race.<\/p>\n<p>In another, a piece of charred wire can be seen attached to a small box and a twisted metal lid with bolts.<\/p>\n<p>The FBI said on Tuesday that a pressure cooker may have been used to build the bombs, with nails, ball bearings and other metal packed around the explosive.<\/p>\n<p>The device may also have been hidden inside rucksacks placed on the ground near the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>Special agent Richard DesLauriers said experts would reconstruct the devices at the FBI laboratory in Quantico, Virginia.<\/p>\n<p>Three people were killed and more than 170 others injured after the two explosions around four hours into the famous marathon.<\/p>\n<p>It is not yet known what was used to set off the devices.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors have revealed the extent of the injuries suffered by those caught in the blasts, including details of a nine-year-old girl who lost her leg and a 10-year-old boy who suffered deep shrapnel wounds.<\/p>\n<p>Several people have had to have limbs amputated and others are at risk of losing legs following the blasts.
