Manchester United push for transfer \u00a0Borussia Dortmund’s super Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich confirmed Real Madrid destroyer not in Allianz Arena way.<\/h1>\n

Manchester United target Polan international striker Robert Lewandowski is not on his way to Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga club has confirmed.<\/p>\n

The Borussia Dortmund striker’s agent yesterday claimed that a deal was being negotiated to secure a summer move for the Poland international – with reports in Germany suggesting he would follow teammate Mario Goetze to the Allianz Arena.<\/p>\n

“We have reached an agreement with a club and intend (him) to move this summer,” Maik Barthel told\u00a0Sport Bild<\/em>, who suggested the club in question was Bayern.<\/p>\n

“There is a very interesting offer for Robert which fulfils entirely the demands set by Dortmund and also the demands of Robert.<\/p>\n

“Dortmund have assured us that Robert can move at the end of the season under these conditions.<\/p>\n

“We stick to agreements and now it’s up to the clubs to sort things out.”<\/p>\n

With his client’s stock soaring even more – if that’s conceivable considering that Lewandowski is on a run of 12 consecutive Bundesliga matches where he has found the net at least once – the striker’s agent Maik Barthel saw fit to tell mass-circulation daily Bild that the forward’s big-money move was mere months away.<\/p>\n

“There is a very interesting offer for Robert, one which meets the criteria set by BVB [Borussia Dortmund] and also satisfies Robert’s expectations,” Barthel told Bild. “BVB have assured us that Robert will be allowed to move at the end of season under these conditions. We will keep our promises, now it’s up to the clubs to create clarity.”<\/p>\n

In this past January transfer window, Lewandowski was repeatedly linked with G\u00f6tze’s new home Bayern Munich – though giants beyond the Bundesliga’s borders like Manchester United have hinted at interest in the past as well.<\/p>\n

Realistically, if Lewandowski is keen to leave as his agent has said in the past, Dortmund can only cash in on their star striker this summer. By next season’s winter transfer window, Lewandowski’s contractual status would have reached a point where any club could negotiate a deal for a free transfer the following summer. At this stage, a club is rightly considered a “motivated seller,” and a move comparable to Lewis Holtby’s bargain basement switch from Schalke to Tottenham this January becomes the most likely scenario.<\/p>\n

owever, the German champions have denied claims that Lewandowski has signed a pre-contract agreement.<\/p>\n

A Bayern statement read: “FC Bayern, contrary to these reports, do not have any contract with Robert Lewandowski.”<\/p>\n

Bayern’s denial has increased speculation that the 24-year is heading to Old Trafford after the Red Devils have been repeatedly linked with a move.<\/p>\n

Dortmund insist they have not received an offer for the Poland international and have put a new deal to the 24-year-old following his virtuoso display on Wednesday, in which he scored four times as Jurgen Klopp’s men thrashed Real Madrid 4-1.<\/p>\n

“It would be negligent of us not to try to keep probably the best striker in Europe,” general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke told the Bild newspaper.<\/p>\n

“It’s true that we have discussed new conditions once again.”<\/p>\n\n
