Bayern Munich’s new coach Pep Guardiola will sell super winger Arjen Robben and Manchester United \u00a0who needs to another powerful player\u00a0\u00a0took action to transfer the Dutchman.<\/h1>\n

Instrumental in Bayern’s run to two Champions League finals in two years, Arjen Robben is no longer guaranteed a place in the Bavarians’ starting line-up this season, with Jupp Heynckes preferring to push Thomas Muller into his wide position in order to accommodate Toni Kroos as a number 10.<\/p>\n

Another of the players linked with an exit in the summer, Robben’s move is likely to be the last at the peak of his powers, so he will be looking for a club already competing for major trophies. One side with no shortage of options for silverware next season is Manchester United, and considering how much Fergie loves a quality winger, the Dutchman’s availability could be music to his ears as he attempts to re-establish United as a European force. The Scot has seen how damaging Robben can be first hand, after witnessing the wonder-goal he scored against United in the 2010 Champions League quarter-finals at Old Trafford, and he does have a habit of signing players that have done well against his team.<\/p>\n

One clear advantage Arjen Robben would bring is taking some of the goal-scoring burden off of Robin van Persie’s shoulders, and the two know each other’s game well from the Dutch national team. Better still, the winger has already excelled in the Premier League during his time at Chelsea, and indeed, would come to Old Trafford a far more complete player than he was when he last played in England. One to watch?<\/p>\n
