Pakistan\u2019s former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani son Ali Haider Gilani kidnapped<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The son of Pakistan\u2019s former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ali Haider Gilani was kidnapped fom Pakistan\u2019s Multan city on Thursday afternoon.<\/h1>\n

Islamabad, May 9\/Nationalturk- \u00a0The son of Pakistan\u2019s former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, Ali Haider Gilani was kidnapped after an attack on Pakistan Peoples\u2019 Party (PPP) gathering in Multan city on Thursday.<\/p>\n

According to Pakistan newspaper, The Express Tribune, unidentified gunmen in cars opened fire at the political gathering in Farrukh Town, Multan. Gilani\u2019s son Ali Haider is contesting elections from the constituency.<\/p>\n

The newspaper said Ali Haider\u2019s personal secretary Mohammad Muhiuddin died in the firing and eight others sustained injuries. The injured have been hospitalized.<\/p>\n

In the chaos created by the firing, the gunmen reportedly abducted former PM\u2019s son Ali Haider Gilani.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe target of the attack was Yousaf Raza Gilani, who was also present at the meeting. The gunmen kidnapped his son after being unable to kill the former prime minister,\u201d police officials were quoted as saying by Express Tribune.<\/p>\n

Ali Haider was taken in black Honda City: Police<\/h2>\n

Pakistan\u2019s TV channel Geo TV quoted police as saying that Ali Haider Gilani was taken in a black Honda City. \u201cThe kidnappers came on motorcycles and had the car with them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Immediately after the kidnapping incident, police sealed all entry and exit points of the city. A massive manhunt has been launched to track down the abductors and recover Al Haider Gilani.<\/p>\n

No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the abducting but there were media reports that Pakistan\u2019s former PM Yousaf Raza Gilani had informed authorities and Pakistan government of receiving death and kidnapping threats from dreaded militant outfit Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).<\/p>\n

As the news spread that former PM\u2019s son has been abducted, Gilani\u2019s and PPP supporters came out on roads in Multan city and staged demonstrations.<\/p>\n
