The nationals of 11 countries intending to visit India are granted VoA in the country,\u201d an Indian official spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>The tourists of Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Singapore, Cambodia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos and Myanmar are granted visa on arrival in India.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo VoA scheme registered a growth of 37.2% during May 2013 as compared to May 2012. A total of 1,114 VoAs were issued in May 2013 as compared to 812 during May 2012,\u201d the spokesman said.<\/p>\n<p>He said 372 visitors from Japan, 195 from New Zealand, 181 from Philippines, \u00a0139 from Singapore, 136 from Indonesia, 55 from Finland, 14 from Vietnam, 9 from Cambodia, 8 from Luxembourg and four from Laos were granted visa on arrival in India.<\/p>\n<h2>India launched VoA scheme in January 2010<\/h2>\n<p>To attract more foreign tourists to country, Indian government launched \u201cVisa on Arrival\u201d (VoA) scheme in January 2010 for citizens of five countries Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Singapore, visiting India for tourism purposes.
